The budget for BOY SEARCHING FOR PEACE is $150,000.
We are taking this short film to the Toronto International Film Festival, the Berlinale a.k.a. Berlin International Film Festival and the 2024 Oscars.
The more high profile this project is, the more people will see it and the greater the impact will be.
Currently we are seeking the funds for the production portion only, which is $100,000.
The basic production budget breaks down as follows:

- Background – $8000
- Crew – $32,000
- Locations – $20,000
- Equipment – $7000
- Supplies – $5000
- Various Expenses – $11,000

$100: « BACKGROUND ACTOR »
We can’t shoot the climax of the movie without our background actors! In addition to what you receive in « FOOD », you will receive a copy of the BOY SEARCHING FOR PEACE DVD/BLURAY as a thank you.
$657: « LEAD ACTOR »
We have no movie without our lead actor! In addition to the perks of « BACKGROUND ACTOR », as a thank you, your DVD will be signed by the cast.
$3,000: « CAMERA CREW »
Without these guys, we can’t shoot the movie! In addition to the perks from « LEAD ACTOR » you will also receive a Thank You credit in the movie and an invitation to the Premier!
$10,000: « ASSOCIATE PRODUCER »
Are you kidding! That’s 1/10th of the production cost! You’ll be paying a lot of wages and equipment, so in thanks you’ll not only receive all the perks from « CAMERA CREW » but you’ll get an Associate Producer credit!!!
$25,000+: « EXECUTIVE PRODUCER »
To show you our deepest gratitude, you will received the perks from « CAMERA CREW » and an ‘Executive Producer’ credit and an invitation to be on set.
When will the film be completed?
The delivery date is June 2023. We are submitting it to the Toronto International Film Festival which takes place in September, the Oscars which takes place in February and the Berlinale which takes place in March. On the outside chance that we can also submit to the Cannes Film Festival (Festival de Cannes), it takes place in May.

Note from Elle: On a more personal note, my greatest supporter’s are my husband, my friends, and my family who are always there for me no matter what. Without them, there would definitely be no project.
